CXO Magazine

I co-managed the complete editorial cycle for the monthly online and quarterly print editions of CXO Magazine, produced by FSC on behalf of  NTT DATA. This included:

  • Conducting in-depth research into B2B industry trends, extrapolating key insights to inform the content strategy, theme and sub-themes for each issue, before presenting these to the client for sign-off.

  • Ghost-writing articles on behalf of senior and C-suite members of the NTT Data team, including editorial welcome letters from the CEO.

  • Providing strategic direction on the theme film produced as part of each magazine issue, including narrative, key stats and quotes and copy for the voiceover.

  • Providing guidance to the editorial team, client stakeholders and magazine contributors on how to adapt and apply the theme, depending on individual area of focus or expertise. Managing teams of authors – from initial engagement and briefing to feeding back on early drafts and signing off on final content – while also writing articles myself where necessary.

  • Coordinating all content streams – commissioned articles, video interviews, podcasts, existing client material (such as white papers), and more – and maintaining a status plan.

  • Running weekly calls with the client project team, and monthly calls with senior client stakeholders, to report on progress and offer guidance and inspiration to ensure we’re getting the quality and quantity of content we need for each issue.

  • Managing the engagement of external contributors and experts: identifying potential candidates relevant to the issue theme,  tailoring email outreach, and managing all comms and drafts.

  • Curating the live website and monthly newsletter, from identifying which content will be featured and highlighted, to assigning metadata such as tags and topics.
